MISSION OF BIKES FOR TYKES, INC. —
A 501(c)(3) Corporation
The mission of Bikes for Tykes, Inc. is to give every child in North America a bicycle. Bikes for Tykes, Inc. (BFT) also would like to give each child receiving a bicycle a bicycle helmet.
In the 29 years since the inception of BFT, we have given away over 18,000 bicycles, free of charge, to children and adults in the community.
BFT accepts used bicycles, bicycle parts, helmets in good condition, and new bicycles and helmets. The used bicycles and bicycle parts are used to refurbish the bicycles. The refurbished bicycles are given to children and adults in need.
BFT has 30 chapters in the United States, 2 in Canada, and there is a group in Australia wishing to form a chapter!
